On Thursday, 14 May 2026, PT Amertec Eraplast held the official Kick Off Meeting (KOM) for the installation of 1 Unit Steam Turbine Generator with a capacity of 45.3 MW — the Salak 7 Project — located at GPP AWI-1 Area, Star Energy Geothermal Salak, Kabandungan, Kabupaten Sukabumi, West Java.
Project Overview
The Salak 7 Project involves the full installation of a Steam Turbine and Generator unit at the Star Energy Geothermal Salak facility. Amertec serves as the sub-contractor responsible for the complete mechanical installation scope under the main contractor JO Timas–Rekind, following procedures and ITPs set by Fuji Electric as the equipment manufacturer.
The project scope covers surface preparation, sub sole plate and sole plate setting, lower casing clearance checks, turbine and generator installation, piping and accessories, and all associated mechanical works through to commissioning readiness.
Installation Method
The generator will be positioned using a Jacking & Skidding System with hydraulic high-pressure equipment, while the turbine case will be handled using an Overhead Crane (OHC). The jacking system consists of:
- Hydraulic Jack 50 Ton S/A (Body height 280 mm) — Qty 4 units
- Hydraulic Jack 100 Ton S/A (Height 150 mm) — Qty 4 units
- Hydraulic Jack 50 Ton D/A Push Jack
- Hydraulic Electric Pump 10,000 Psi — Qty 1 unit
- Hydraulic accessories (hose, pressure gauge, manifold, safety valve)
- Skidding rail, shoe & stopper equipment
All installation activities will follow the detailed sequence from Fuji Electric's Procedure & ITP documentation.

Material Handling
Main equipment (Generator unit and Turbine Case) will be delivered by Fuji/JOTR to the JOTR Laydown area, jointly inspected by JOTR and Fuji Electric, then formally handed over to Amertec for installation. Accessories and auxiliary parts follow the same joint inspection and handover process before installation.
